現在は入手困難となっているオリジナルE&Lシートを分解・検証し、
・シートベース
・ウレタン形状
・表皮パターン
に至るまでミリ単位で計測・設計を行っています。

サイズやシルエットはもちろん、ボタンの沈み込みやシワの出方、ステッチのラインに至るまで、当時のディテールを忠実に再現しています。

さらに裏面には、オリジナルの雰囲気を保ちながら強度を向上させるため、ダブルステッチとリベットを用いた独自の「ホエール・ビンテージ製法」を採用。
実用性と耐久性を両立させています。


表皮には本革（国産タンニンなめしカウハイド）を使用し、使い込むほどに風合いの変化もお楽しみいただけます。

ヴィンテージの雰囲気をそのままに、現代の使用環境に対応させたプロダクトです。

※鉄製シートベースを使用しています。リア側のR部分は2〜3cm程度の調整が可能ですが、ボタンタフト構造の特性上、過度な曲げ加工はお控えください。

A reproduction of the button-tufted cobra seat originally produced by the California-based seat maker E&L during the 1960s–70s.
An original E&L seat—now extremely rare—was carefully disassembled and analyzed.
The seat base, urethane shape, and leather pattern were measured and reconstructed with millimeter-level precision.
Not only the overall size and silhouette, but also the depth of the button tufting, the natural wrinkling, and the stitching lines have been faithfully recreated to reflect the original character.
To enhance durability while preserving the vintage aesthetic, the underside has been upgraded using W&Co.’s proprietary “Whale Vintage Construction,” featuring double stitching and riveted reinforcement.
The seat is upholstered in premium Japanese vegetable-tanned cowhide, allowing for natural aging and character development over time.
This piece maintains the essence of vintage design while being adapted for practical, modern use.
Notes
The steel seat base allows for minor adjustment (approx. 2–3 cm) at the rear curve.
However, due to the delicate button-tufted construction, excessive bending is not recommended.
The leather surface is treated with protective oil before shipment to preserve quality.
Compatible with optional seat mounting adapters (sold separately).
Shipping for the adapter is free when purchased together with the seat.
